Privacy policy
Dollywood Spotter is a free, fan-made people-watching game. This page explains what information the site keeps and why. The short version: we keep only what is needed to save your games, and we never sell it.
If you play as a guest
Your current hunt and Sports board are saved in your own browser's storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data erases them.
If you sign in
When you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive and store:
- Your email address and, if you use Google, your name. We use these only to sign you in and to show your name on your profile.
- Your game data: hunts, scores, which finds you checked off, and your Sports board progress.
We do not receive your Google password, contacts, photos, location or any other Google data.
Ideas you send us
If you use the "Suggest a find" box, we store the idea you typed. If you are signed in, it is linked to your account. Please do not include anyone's name or personal details in an idea.
Where it is stored
Account and game data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. The website is hosted by Netlify. Both process data on our behalf to run the site.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your information with advertisers.
- We do not run ads or advertising trackers.
- We do not ask for or store photos of anyone.
Tips
Tips are handled by Venmo or Stripe on their own sites. We do not see or store your payment details.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and everything saved with it, use the "Suggest a find" box on the home page, choose "Something else", and write "Delete my account" along with the email you signed in with. We will delete it within 30 days.
Children
The site is meant to be used by adults. Kids are welcome to play along on a parent's phone, but we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
